This recipe is something that we have been developing over the years and now have finally come to what we think is a delicious one! We first served our Acorn Ice Cream with 'Anglesey Cake', which was a cake also known as a 'Shearing Cake' to those living on the Isle of Anglesey. Similar to that of a Christmas pudding, the Anglesey Cake is a little lighter in and with more fruit - if you can imagine!
We make the Acorn Ice Cream with our local acorns that have naturally fell over time. We gather them every autumn from the wonderful ancient surrounding oaks here in North Wales.
In the LAND | Supper Club we hosted with Hawarden Estate Farm Shop, we had our Acorn Ice Cream with a Halva cake.
